Sichuan's 2GWh High-Rate Semi-Solid-State Battery Project Breaks Ground

2026-01-15

On December 28, the 2GWh high-rate semi-solid-state battery and 500,000 sets of power system project invested by Luochu Power Technology (Bazhong) Co., Ltd. officially broke ground at the Bazhong Low-Altitude Economy Industrial Park. With a total investment of 1.1 billion yuan, the project mainly involves constructing production lines for high-rate semi-solid-state batteries and power system integration, along with supporting R&D, integration, warehousing and logistics facilities. The implementation of this project will further boost the development of Bazhong's new energy industry and accelerate the industrialization process of semi-solid-state batteries.

latest company news about Sichuan's 2GWh High-Rate Semi-Solid-State Battery Project Breaks Ground 0

As production technologies continue to advance and economies of scale are gradually realized, the cost of semi-solid-state batteries is expected to drop steadily, further consolidating their core position in the industrial iteration of solid-state batteries. In contrast, the technologies and process routes for all-solid-state batteries have not yet matured. By sorting out the mass production timetables of solid-state batteries released by battery manufacturers and automakers at home and abroad, a clear timeline has emerged: all-solid-state batteries are projected to enter small-scale vehicle installation in 2027 and mass production in 2030. At that time, all-solid-state batteries will first be applied in emerging fields such as scientific research, robotics and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), where high battery performance is required while price sensitivity is relatively low.
